Terminology

“Go as you Please”
Riders may choose to either trot/jog OR canter/lope. The gait most comfortable for horse and rider. Rider to choose one gait per class.

“Equitation”
Refers to the rider’s position while mounted, focuses on rider’s ability to ride correctly and with effective aids. The rider, rather than the horse is evaluated. Riders will be asked to trot/jog AND canter/lope in these classes.
