A Message from The President

A county fair is a place for prize winning peach preserves, funnel cakes, thrills of a demolition derby, kids' excited squeals, grand champion steers, fire department's fried Oreo's, family togetherness, and lasting memories. Fair time is a special time where the community comes together to showcase their goods and services.

Fair festivities commence with our Scholarship Pageant on August 12th, New Grandstand entertainment includes the Gospel Harmony Boys, included in your gate admission, and Gospel contemporary christian singer Anne Wilson, finishing out the week we welcome True Grit Rodeo. Fan favorites like the horse show, the truck and tractor pull and the demolition derby remain unchanged. The bustling midway offers amusement rides, pavilion acts, axe throwing, Grace the donkey, and even LIVE dinosaurs!

The Page Valley Fair is honored be the recipient of the Page Valley TOT grant which afforded us the opportunity to redesign our website. The Page County Economic Development and Tourism Department captured a collection of photographs and videos to truly exemplify the liveliness of our spectacular fair.

During fair week, be sure to visit the agriculture barn to admire the hard work of our 4-H/FFA members. Take time to stroll through the youth and adult exhibit buildings. Enjoy informative demonstrations by the Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners and unleash your creativity with floral design by Kevin Boyd of Nest & Hive.

Serving as the 2023 fair president is a great honor for me, following in the footsteps of my grandfather and father. These fairgrounds and this organization are very special to me. As they say an organization is only as good as its volunteers. This is true for this fair we are fortunate to have very dedicated members. Planning for the fair requires 365 days of commitment. The board and its members bear the responsibility of ensuring a smooth and successful fair, knowing it's impossible to please everyone, yet striving to create a fun and memorable experience for all.

On behalf of the board, members, and community volunteers, who make this fair possible, I invite you to be our guest at the Page Valley Fair August 20th through August 26.

See you at the fair!
